Litigation

Robin Foret has over 25 years of legal and litigation experience, some of which began before she even graduated from law school, when she successfully tried and arbitrated cases to conclusion through Temple University School of Law's clinical programs. Immediately following law school, Robin began their legal career litigating cases for the Travelers Insurance Company in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania where she defended Traveler's insureds in products liability, worker's compensation and premises liability cases. Since moving to Texas in 1994, Robin has worked in a number of trial oriented practices where she litigated and arbitrated a variety of complex commercial litigation, copyright and trademark infringement, securities-related, and employment-related matters.

Employment Law

Robin Foret is Board Certified in Labor and Employment Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization. In addition to litigation, Robin frequently provides advice to employers in federal and state employment-related regulatory compliance, as well as how to minimize the risk of litigation by employing best practices. This includes best practices in interviewing, hiring, firing, developing employment agreements and handbooks, and how to properly discipline employees. Robin also writes articles on employment and human resources topics and gives presentations to companies and private employers on a variety of topics, including but not limited to: (1) ADA & FMLA compliance; (2) Wage and hour issues under the FLSA; (3) Title VII and ADEA discrimination and harassment prevention; (3) Independent contractor versus employee classifications; (4) Non-competition, non-solicitation and confidentiality agreements; and (5) Mergers & acquisitions and successor company liability in the employment context. Robin also trains supervisors and managers and conducts investigations of employee complaints.

Human Resources Advice and Training

Robin Foret also provides advice to small and medium sized employers regarding day-to-day human resources matters, which includes: I-9 compliance; wages, bonuses and compensation matters; workplace policies and procedures; interviewing, hiring, discipline and termination best practices; risk management assessment in the workplace. She also offers training seminars for managers to build a better workplace environment.

Mediation and Arbitration Services

Robin also handles conflict resolution services in the form of arbitration, mediation and workplace conflict resolution for companies as well as for individuals.

Dog and Animal Law

As a competitor in dog sports and someone involved in dog training, Robin has added dog and animal law to her practice.
